Visual Analytics

We believe the future of large-scale data lies in our ability to interact with and interpret research outcomes through visual exploration. UPIBI has created a 3D Heatmap tool that leverages video game engines to render data in immersive, three-dimensional environments. In addition, the Idea Studio—located in the Levitt Building—is UPIBI’s first fully immersive data visualization hub, open to all faculty, students, and staff across the institution.
