Genomic Interaction & Complexity Symposium (GICS)
The Genomic Interaction & Complexity Symposium (GICS) is dedicated to examining the role of gene-gene interactions in shaping complex biological traits and outcomes. This annual event brings together a rotating roster of specialists from diverse fields—including statistical genetics, computational biology, and translational research—to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and spark innovation in methodologies for studying epistasis. GICS has resulted in new collaborations, scientific publications, and the creation of analytical tools shared across the biomedical community.
Publications Originating from Symposium Collaborations:
Example: Converging multi-modal evidence for risk factor identification in complex disease studies, demonstrating the integration of omics, informatics, and experimental biology. Published in BioData Mining, 2014.

The event is held in Salon C. Enter the main hotel building, and take the staircase to your right or elevator to your left. Registration will be clearly marked on the second floor. Meals will be held on the Terrace, and the Friday social is at the pool.

After collecting your baggage at EYW, contact the hotel directly for shuttle service. Taxis are also available curbside. Delays on Wednesday are possible due to guest volume.
