TURBO

TURBO stands for Transforming and Unifying Research with Biomedical Ontologies. This initiative enhances the discovery and connection of key clinical information by linking data elements to the underlying biomedical processes that generated them. These semantic associations allow for deeper insights and more meaningful exploration of complex data systems.

The TURBO team uses standardized ontologies, including those aligned with the Open Biological and Biomedical Ontologies (OBO) Foundry, to create a shared semantic framework. This framework supports the use of graph databases, enabling flexible navigation and querying of heterogeneous datasets in biomedical research.

Details about the project can be found here. View the TURBO documentation here.
