Innovation Studio

The Innovation Studio serves as UPIBI’s central hub for exploring new approaches to data integration, intelligent systems, and visual analytics in biomedical research. The studio focuses on designing and evaluating software tools that support the full data pipeline—from access and processing to analysis and interpretation.

These tools and technologies are available to individual research groups or can be accessed through UPIBI’s collaborative service programs. At the heart of the Innovation Studio is the Immersion Lab, an interactive space for data visualization, computational modeling, and team-based exploration.

Our mission is to simplify and accelerate the research process by making data access, AI-driven analysis, and result interpretation more intuitive and widely accessible.

CoreLink

CoreLink is a data harmonization framework that unifies information from varied biomedical sources into a navigable, semantically organized structure, enabling researchers to explore complex relationships across datasets.

Structura

Structura uses ontology-guided mapping to enhance the organization and querying of clinical research data. It helps uncover hidden links between variables by tracing their connections to the processes and contexts that generated them.

AutoSage

AutoSage is an accessible platform for automated machine learning that supports classification, regression, and pattern discovery through user-friendly interfaces and intelligent defaults designed for non-expert users.

TriMap View

TriMap View extends traditional two-dimensional data visualization by adding a third dimension, allowing researchers to explore multi-layered biomedical data in spatial context.

Immersion Lab

The Immersion Lab is a collaborative environment equipped with advanced visualization and interaction technologies. It supports faculty, students, and staff in exploring data-intensive research questions through shared, real-time analysis.
